The opening ceremony of an ink-and-wash painting exhibition of Shandong's Taiwanese painters and a modern ink-and-wash art center kicked off on Nov. 17 at the Shandong Provincial Museum.

With the theme of "Fondly remembering one's hometown," the exhibition features seven painters' works boasting landscapes, flowers and birds. Painters include Liu Guosong, Jiang Yihan, Xia Yifu, Yan Zhenying, Liu Guoxing, Li Junyi and Sun Yihua.

During one discussion after the ceremony, experts and artists carried out exchanges and explorations on inheritance and innovation of Chinese modern ink-and-wash painting.

The exhibition will run until Dec. 20.
