China's centrally-administered state-owned enterprises (SOEs) had donated more than 417 million yuan (61 million U.S. dollars) and 1.5 million Hong Kong dollars (193,299 U.S. dollars) to northwest China's quake-hit Yushu prefecture by Friday.
The donations came from 93 of the 126 central SOEs, according to a statement posted on the website of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, China's state assets authority.
Eleven central SOEs donated relief goods worth 33.55 million yuan.
The statement also said China's national flag carrier, Air China, had deployed 34 charter flights to transport 596 rescue workers and 138.671 tonnes of relief materials as of 8 a.m. Thursday.
