Beijing's Shijingshan district has taken a significant step forward in strengthening China-German economic cooperation by signing strategic partnership agreements with AHK Greater China and the Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce.
The agreements were inked during the AHK Greater China Xceleration Days 2024, held in Shijingshan district from Nov. 13 to 15. Nearly 1,000 Chinese and German representatives gathered to showcase bilateral trade achievements and discuss cooperation in emerging technologies.
AHK Greater China, Germany's official foreign trade promotion body, will collaborate with Shijingshan to implement projects, enhance business exchanges and optimize the business environment.
The partnership focuses on the industrial internet, artificial intelligence, science fiction, virtual reality and emerging technologies in information, manufacturing, space and health.
The Investment Promotion Agency will support Shijingshan in strengthening its investment promotion capabilities to attract domestic and international capital.
Chang Wei, Party secretary of the Communist Party of China Shijingshan District Committee, highlighted the district's commitment to high-quality development and efforts to create a more open, business-friendly environment.
He noted that by establishing comprehensive strategic partnerships with AHK Greater China and the Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce, Shijingshan will create a more open environment, provide better services and work with more high-quality Chinese and German enterprises to achieve mutual success.
The annual event, now in its third year, was previously held in Shenzhen and Shanghai.
