The second Luohu District Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Exercises Competition concluded on Saturday, bringing together TCM practitioners from across the city.
The finals were divided into team and individual categories. Ten teams and seven individual contestants competed in various TCM exercises, including Baduanjin Eight Brocades, Jinganggong, Tai Chi, and other popular health-promoting exercises and Qigong martial arts.
A three-day TCM cultural fair, held from November Thursday to Saturday, received overwhelmingly positive feedback. Luohu District Chinese Medicine Hospital showcased a wide range of TCM health products, such as medicinal diet, herbal milk tea, herbal tea, health tonics, and pastries, offering free samples to the public. Additionally, citizens could enjoy complimentary experiences of Tui Na massage, Gua Sha scraping, ear acupressure, and TCM constitutional diagnosis. A special consultation area was set up, where renowned TCM physicians from provincial, municipal, and district levels provided free medical consultations.
The unique charm of TCM culture and its preventive and curative effects have earned widespread praise. The exquisite TCM cultural products perfectly align with the "light health" lifestyle of modern urbanites. The inheritance and promotion of traditional Chinese culture demonstrate vibrant vitality, transcending age and geographical boundaries, showcasing the "multidimensional output" of TCM culture.
"The milk tea is delicious, and non-drug therapies like Gua Sha are very unique! This product promotion method is very innovative!" said an international friend from Saudi Arabia, who attended the event to savor the health tea and medicinal diet. He deeply experienced the rich and splendid TCM culture and praised Luohu District's fruitful achievements in TCM cultural development.
