Two people were killed and four others injured after a fire broke out in a residential building in Harbin, the capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, on Friday afternoon.
The fire occurred in a seven-story building in the city's Nangang District at about 1 p.m., according to city authorities.
Six people were rushed to hospital. Two died after medical treatment failed, and four continue to receive treatment, officials have said.
The fire has been extinguished and an investigation into its cause is ongoing.
