A mine collapsed in central China'a Anhui Province Saturday night, leaving three dead and four injured, local authorities said Sunday.
The ground of Anhui Jinrisheng Mining Company Ltd. caved in and triggered the collapse of two houses in Huoqiu County in Anhui at about 9 p.m. Saturday, an official with the county's publicity department said.
Two people died at the scene and another one died in the hospital. The four injured are receiving treatment in hospital, the official said.
The sedimentation area was estimated to be 2,800 square meters. The cause of the incident is under investigation, the official said.
