A love affair with a senior government official had led to the unfeasibly rapid promotion of the new vice chairwoman of the Yunnan branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, according to an anonymous whistleblower who posted a series of scandalous online allegations.
The published resume of Dang Xuyan, 44, was also totally bogus, a poster named "senior member of Communist Party of China" alleged on tianya.cn on July 1.
The Organization Department of Yunnan Provincial Committee of CPC will investigate the case based on Party regulations, the Beijing News reported.
Dang's resume had been published in Yunnan Daily on June 27 indicating she had been promoted to the prestigious post for her many successes including bagging domestic beverage giant Wahaha Group and Boeing to invest in Kunming when she worked as deputy director of Management Committee of Kunming High-tech Development Zone.
The Henan Zhongyuan Trade Company, where Dang claimed to have worked for 10 years, does not exist in the Henan provincial enterprise database, the Beijing News reported on Wednesday.
Dang never even had a regular job before 2002, the secret online messnager claimed.
"As I know Dang was recruited as general staff for a company under administration of the management committee in 2002, but she was promoted four times between 2004 and 2007 to her current position, faster than Party personnel principles stipulate," the article alleged.
"Dang had a long-term love affair with the director of the management committee, which is an open secret, and she also leads a luxurious lifestyle with a 17 million yuan (US$2.6 million) annual fund arranged by the committee for attracting investment," the salacious article alleged.
An anonymous publicity official of the organization department told the Global Times on Wednesday "It's inconvenient to talk about the investigation into Dang's resume."
Dang could not be reached for comment on Wednesday.
