More than 3,900 fire fighters are working to put out a forest fire that broke out in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province on Friday, said the State Forestry Administration.
The administration received a fire report from the provincial authorities at 3 p.m. Friday.
The report said the fire broke out in the Daxinganling forestry district and was engulfing an area of about 30 hectares, and was approximately two kilometers in length.
Local authorities have sent four helicopters to extinguish the fire. No casualties have been reported as of Friday evening.
