An investigation was launched Friday after 11 Sibierian tigers were reported to have died in past three months at a zoo in northeast China's Liaoning Province, local authorities said.
A joint investigation team of local police and government authorities had been established to probe into the case, said a spokesman with the management committee of Shenyang City's Qipanshan Development Zone where the zoo is sited.
The results would be released immediately after the investigation was completed, the spokesman said.
