Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping will attend the opening ceremony of the 2010 meeting of the Boao Forum for Asia and deliver a keynote speech, Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang announced in Beijing on March 29.

The meeting, which will focus on Asia's green and sustainable development in the post-crisis period, is to be held in Boao, a coastal resort in South China's Hainan Province from April 9 to 11, said Qin.

Some foreign political, business and academic leaders will attend the non-governmental forum and discuss cooperation at the event, Qin said.
