A two-day conference on digital talent development kicks off on Wednesday at Zhongguancun International Innovation Center in Haidian district, Beijing.
During the conference, the Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau announced the achievements and innovative measures in advancing digital talent development in Beijing. These include the first batch of model cases in digital talent cultivation, the directory of continuing education bases for professional and technical personnel in the digital field, and the directory of training institutions for digital engineers in Beijing.
The first batch of model cases in digital talent cultivation in Beijing involves 10 enterprises and organizations, including leading companies, industry associations, and research institutions. They have achieved significant practical results in fields such as artificial intelligence, big data, cybersecurity, and smart energy services.
In recent years, Beijing has implemented professional and technical training programs, and fulfilled large-scale training and development tasks. It has coordinated the development of professional and technical talent teams in key industries and sectors, guiding industry authorities to annually train and cultivate 82,000 high-level and urgently needed technical workers on average.
Since 2013, Beijing has recognized 64 continuing education bases for professional and technical personnel in five batches, with 34 of them in the field of digital technology. Since the launch of the digital engineer cultivation program in 2021, a total of 39 training institutions for digital engineers have been selected, covering 14 occupations such as smart manufacturing, big data, blockchain, and artificial intelligence.
Currently, the continuing education bases for professional and technical personnel and digital engineer training institutions in Beijing are working together to train 10,000 skilled workers in digital technology each year.
Next, the Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau will focus on cultivating more high-level digital engineers and highly skilled professionals, contribute more to the high-quality development of the capital's digital economy, and accelerate the construction of a global hub for digital economy.
