Experts gathered at the 2024 Asia Pacific Smart Logistics Cooperation and Development Forum in Hefei, central China's Anhui province, on Wednesday, to explore ways to promote smart logistics.
Nearly 100 experts and representatives from China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and the United States attended the forum in person or virtually.
"It is necessary to strengthen regional cooperation, facilitate joint development of new logistical modes, and to build a win-win supply chain," said Liu Yuhang, head of the China Logistics Information Cener, at the forum.
Zhou Wei, director of Automobile Transportation Research Center of Research Institute of Highway under Ministry of Transport, shared his insights into transport services of autonomous vehicle. He said that his organization aimed to enhance industrial and supply chain connectivity and cooperation within the Asia-Pacific region by carrying out respective research and launching seminars.
The forum was also attended by entrepreneurs from China and abroad as well as university professors from Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and the United States. They shared practical experiences and raised suggestions concerning IoT, smart shipment, overseas expansion of companies, intelligence logistics of hazardous chemicals, sustainable supply chain development, smart containerization and digital innovations in the industry.
