The World Robot Conference 2024 kicked off Wednesday in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, also known as Beijing E-Town.
Yin Li, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, and Wan Gang, president of the China Association for Science and Technology, attended the opening ceremony.
This year's conference, themed "Co-Fostering New Quality Productive Forces for a Shared Intelligent Future," features a three-day main forum and 26 thematic forums. These sessions will focus on cutting-edge technologies, industry trends, and innovative achievements, with in-depth discussions on the emerging trends and opportunities brought by the deep integration of artificial intelligence and robotics.
Meanwhile, the 2024 World Robot Expo and the 2024 World Robot Contest are running concurrently with the conference. The expo will showcase over 600 innovative products from 169 companies, including more than 60 product debuts. The robot contest, emphasizing skill development and talent cultivation, has drawn over 13,000 participants from more than ten countries to compete.
