On Oct. 20, the roof sealing of the C05 and C06 office buildings constructed by the Package 7 team of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) in the central business district (CBD) project in Egypt's new administrative capital was officially completed.
C05 and C06 have become the third and fourth high-rise buildings to achieve the roof-sealing of their main structures in the CBD project. Package 7 has also become the first construction team that completed the roof-sealing of two separate buildings at the same time.
Mohamed Khamis, the proprietor representative of NUCA, Ahmed Banna, project manager from Dar Ahmed El Banna, Adel Shedid, technical manager of Package 7, Walid Hassan, the supervisor representative of Package 7 and other Egyptian attendees extended their warm congratulations on the roof-sealing of the C05 and C06 office buildings.
They affirmed the progress made by Package 7 amid the pandemic and expressed their hope that, under the organization and deployment of CSCEC Egypt, Package 7 would make continuous efforts to rapidly complete the follow-up construction work and achieve the successful delivery of the CBD project.
The construction team of Package 7 said that they will strive for excellence in completing the next phase of the construction with effective pandemic prevention and control while ensuring safety construction.
The construction of the C05 and C06 office buildings started on Sept. 12 and 15, 2018, respectively. Both buildings are 100 meters high with 20 floors, including two underground that will be used for parking and electromechanical services. The lower three levels above ground will function as retail spaces, while the upper 15 floors will be office areas. The total construction area covers approximately 160,000 square meters. It is worth mentioning that the ground floors of both office buildings were designed as tree column structures. The design concept was inspired by the lotus, the national flower of Egypt.
