The head of the delegation of the European Union in China Markus Ederer confirmed on Monday that coping with EU debt issues will be one of topics at the upcoming EU-China summit.
According to the delegation, leaders of EU and China will hold talks on the 14th EU-China summit and the 7th EU-China business summit, which are slated to be held in Beijing next week.
Ederer said that EU welcomes China's support for its efforts to alleviate its debt crisis, and added that China's stance on the debt issue has been always "constructive."
It has been reported that China is mulling further efforts to help address Europe's debt issues through channels such as the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) and the European Stability Mechanism (ESM).
