A photo exhibition entitled the Road of Renowned Scholar Liang Sicheng is being held until end of next week at the National Museum of China in Beijing, accompanied by an international forum on cultural heritage protection at the Convention Center for Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
On display are more than 60 old photos, old documents, and charts, illustrating Liang's personal history and his contribution to the protection of century-old architecture, especially those in Xi'an, Datong, Yangzhou, Kunming and Beijing.
At the opening of the exhibition, a bronze bust of Liang was unveiled and donated to representatives from the Japanese city of Nara by the China Social and Cultural Development Foundation.
The statue will be installed in Nara in October during a China-Japan friendship forum.
