the film Li Chun / And The Spring Comes.
Jiang portrays an opera singer who holds fast to her dream to
become a Peking opera star in Li Chun. The film is
directed by her husband, Gu Changwei.
Rade Serbedzija of Croatia won best actor for his role in the
Canadian-Greek production Fugitive Pieces. The American
film Juno won best film. The Special Jury Award went to
the Iran-Japan production Hafez.
